We're very proud of our fantastic team here at the Trengilly Wartha Inn. Here's a little bit about them...
Head Chef- Nick Tyler has been working at the Trengilly for over 20 years. His enthusiasm for local produce and great food never wanes. He runs his kitchen team with an eye for detail and has won numerous awards over the years. His only draw back is his singing.
Sous Chef – Richard Penna is classically trained and creative. He worked all over the world, gaining wonderful influences in his cooking, before he returned to Cornwall to open his own successful restaurant. He eventually sold the restaurant to retire but luckily for us we managed to lure him to the Trengilly instead!
Deborah Hassel is a new member to the team, but a great all-rounder, producing fantastic desserts. She cooks and works the bar, and is someone we are happy to leave in charge when we take some time off.
Emily Sykes is young but very experienced. She has worked for us since she was 14 years old and so knows the business inside out.
House Keeper- Liz Konic, the breakfast lady, is the one we miss most when she is on holiday. She serves our award winning breakfast and keeps are bar area ship shape.
House Keeper- Jayne Blackyear, runs all the bed and breakfast rooms with great efficiency.
Kitchen Porter- Paddy Cullinam has worked for us years and his job is to keep the kitchen running smoothly and cleanly. He achieved 5 stars on our last Environmental Health Inspection, and is the hidden, unsung hero of the team.
Part Timers - We have numerous part time staff, who are all local, knowledgeable and well trained to provide excellent service.
Will, Lisa and Family...
Will and Lisa took over the Trengilly 7 years ago and have truly transformed the Inn into a friendly, family retreat. They live onsite (along with their two children, Jenny and Daniel, Tara the dog and their new puppy, Whisky) and have made it their mission to combine the award-winning Trengilly bistro and popular local pub with simple yet elegant Bed and Breakfast accommodation - all set amongst the Trengilly's tranquil gardens.
