We’re reopening our doors on the 4th July following the lockdown. Here are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions that our guest may have in regards to the safety measures we’ve put in place.
Can I come and stay at the Trengilly?
Yes, we’re reopening for bed and breakfast, food and drink from 4th July, following the changes to the lockdown rules in England.
Can I come & eat at the Trengilly?
Yes we’re now taking bookings for food at our inside and outside tables.
We’ve got less tables inside, to support social distancing, so all very safe. As always, the food is all very tasty too!

When is the Trengilly reopening?
We’ll be open again for bed and breakfast guests, as well as pub visitors for food and drink, from the 4th of July.
Have your opening hours changed?
Yes, at present we will only be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
From Thursday to Saturday, we’ll be open from 5:00pm – 9:30pm for food, and until 11:00pm for drinks.
On Sundays we will be open from 12:00pm to 6:00pm for food.
We’ll have a basic menu to begin with, but will constantly review this. For hotel guests we can recommend lots of lovely local options for food and drinks when our restaurant and bar are not open.
How can I book a stay at the Trengilly?
You can make a reservation to stay with us by phone or on our website.

How are you cleaning the rooms?
All rooms will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival.
The bathrooms will also all be steam cleaned and sanitised to give you complete peace of mind during your stay.
Your door will be open for you when you arrive, to minimise contact with external surfaces while you settle in.
Will staff be in our room during our stay?
None of our staff will enter your room during your stay, to reduce risks to you and our team.
This will mean that if you need any top ups of tea, coffee or other items, you’ll just have to let us know and we’ll deliver to your door.
What steps are in place to protect guests during meal times?
As a bed & breakfast guest, you’ll be allocated the same table in the pub for the duration of your stay, which will be cleaned prior to your arrival.
We will ask you to pre-order your breakfast, so we can place items on your table ahead of your arrival each morning. Hot food will then be delivered to a nearby table for you to collect.
What social distancing measures are in place?
Wherever possible, we’ll be adhering to the ‘2m rule’ in order to protect our guests and staff.
For example, for patrons wishing to book a table for dinner, there is 2m distancing between bookable tables outside in our marquee.
We have also reconfigured our internal spaces to provide distance wherever possible for our hotel guests. By pre-ordering breakfast, guests will arrive at their allocated table to find some items in place, with hot food delivered to a nearby table by our staff for you to collect.
The pub bathroom will also be operating a ‘one in, one out’ system, where we will ask those wishing to use the facilities to call out prior to entering, to ensure they are vacant.
Do you offer self-catering accommodation?
We understand that some visitors would prefer to use self-catering accommodation during this time.
