My partner had the Tandoori Chicken with naan bread, twice fried chips & salad which he said was exceptional ! ! We then all finished the meal with a selection of home made desserts. Read more amazing. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is some of the best food in Cornwall. The 5 star Carbis Bay Hotel is the only place to beat it and there is a massive price difference. The pigeon starter was really good but the pheasant stew stole the show. So tasty and so much meat.

Read more home' atmosphere, then The Trengilly Wartha Inn is just the place. I stayed in Room 7 which was perfect for my needs and we'll equipped for my stay. The food was very very good, and I would highly recommend the duck, which I finished the meal with the Baileys Cheesecake - both were beautifully prepared, cooked, and served in a professional but friendly manner. The breakfast was lovely - perfectly poached eggs with toasted homemade bread. I cannot rate this establishment highly enough and will definitely return again, thanks to all the staff and management.

We went to our room after lunch and it was immaculate and large with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast the next morning was stupendous I couldn't eat it all! As we had had lunch we didn't want a big dinner but our hosts provided us with a gorgeous cheeseboard to take to our room- perfect! Trengilly Wartha is a hidden gem

  Lovely accommodation in a pleasant rural surrounding - Stayed for 2 nights in the Garden Apartment that was well equipped and provided ideal accommodation for two of us and our dog. Room was spotless and the kitchenette area... Read more ideal for self catering for a short stay. We had a lovely meal in the bar/restaurant on the first night. that was much enjoyed. The bar stocks a substantial range of ales. Breakfast comprised a good range of options with hot dishes freshly prepared making a welcome change from buffet style hot plate offerings. The Inn is located in a quiet secluded valley off the beaten track so a car/taxi is essential for access to local towns and amenities in this part of Cornwall. Both Falmouth and Porthleven (Near Helston) 20 minutes drive away are on opposite coasts of the Lizard and are well worth a visit.
